Why do I need an LLC as a coach?
If a client claims your coaching caused them harm (financial, emotional, or business), they can sue. Without an LLC, they can come after your personal assets. With one, they're limited to the LLC's assets. For ~$800/year in CA franchise tax, it's the cheapest insurance you can buy.
Can I run my coaching business from this address even if I live in another state?
You can use the address for mail and as a business contact address. To register an LLC AT this address, you need to file with California (the $2,000 bundle handles this). If you want to register in your home state, the address still works as a contact address.
What about clients who Google the address?
